The Idiot Box&ramblings

 My mother is hooked on the F/X series "Over There" She said, "When the show ends and the song comes on, I get goosebumps on my arms." (me too--the show is so reality-based TV)   My mom is a rare breed--she's more than 50-years-old, an Award-winning Artist, white christian and observer of spiders. (that shouldn't make sense to anyone but me)   Everybody here seems to enjoy the West Wing series. I think I'd rather follow in her footsteps...Why? Because she loves me. Because she worries about the American people being "nothing."  Every day, I tell her, "There's hope! We have Conyers and Boxer."   She cheers me on and tells me "I'm depending on you to tell me." My mom is liberal, but she doesn't watch the news or get the daily newspaper. Obviously, she's disgusted. I'm her mouthpiece and it's not easy nowadays. This may sound simple and trite--I love my mother and I thank her for making my world liberal with books. Thank you, mom! I love you! (even though you will never read this because you're not hooked up to the WWW)  Just kidding, the next time she visits, I'll let her see this--I'm sure she'll approve and applaud.
