Republican Rep. John McHugh of New York has apparently been listening to the rhetoric of the radical "Concerned Women of America."
Go here http://www.house.gov/hasc/ and http://www.defense.gov to see this contempt of women disguised as concern.
I'm a woman. I'm a veteran who served during Operation Desert Storm. NOBODY in their right should harbor any doubts about the Bush Administration's intentions of wanting America's women barefoot and pregnant!!

The yahoo article, "Bill Would Bar Women From Combat Support" by the AP's Devlin Barrett also features a quote grounded in reality: "I think it will make most of the women in the Army hopping mad, they'll see it as a slap in the face," retired Navy Captain Lory Manning said in an interview. Manning tracks military issues for the Women's Research and Education Institute in Washington.
Yes, this is a slap in the face--not just to female soldiers--but to ALL women!
